Here to help survivors on their journeys toward healing and empowerment.
Programs and Services
At Empowerment Beyond Scars, we are committed to providing comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner violence. Through our partnerships with nonprofits, agencies, and healthcare providers, we offer a range of programs and services designed to assist individuals in their journey toward healing and empowerment.
How Our Referral System Works
Empowerment Beyond Scars relies on a referral-based system to receive patients. Partnerships with nonprofits, agencies, healthcare providers, and other groups help Empowerment Beyond Scars identify needs and support those healing from physical and emotional scars.
Currently, we are working in collaboration with the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence, CHILD, Inc., YWCA Delaware, and People’s Place to create opportunities for survivors to receive the care they need and want.
By creating a referral system through partners familiar with domestic violence and intimate partner violence cases, Empowerment Beyond Scars can offer appropriate support mechanisms, ensuring uniform service quality. This system also aims to balance the workload among providers, preventing them from becoming overwhelmed by too many cases.

Medical Aesthetic Services Provided Through EBS
Services offered through referral address:
Bruising:
Our clinic provides various devices, such as BBL, to effectively treat immediate bruising. In cases of acute bruising from a domestic dispute, we use the BBL laser to expedite healing time and visibly reduce the physical appearance of bruising.Scars and Burn Revision:
Whether it’s a cigarette burn or scars from trauma, we offer multiple treatment options for scar reduction. Our services include microneedling, radio frequency microneedling, chemical peels, and CO2 lasers for resurfacing. Typically, multiple sessions are required for optimal results.Facial Imbalances:
If you are experiencing facial imbalances resulting from domestic violence, we offer a range of filler options. These treatments can restore symmetry and correct deformities caused by scars or previous surgeries. Examples include rebuilding a lip around a scar. When there are facial fractures we can rebuild some of the soft tissue to reduce the appearance of these asymmetries.Dental Trauma:
We have partnered with a reputable dentist who specializes in tooth replacement and restoration. If you have missing teeth, our dentist can provide you with options such as removable or implantable dental services. Dentists will be referred from our team at EBS.Additional Avenues of Support and Advocacy
At Empowerment Beyond Scars, we understand that healing and empowerment are multifaceted journeys that require comprehensive support and advocacy. In addition to our core programs and services, we offer additional avenues of support and advocacy to ensure that survivors have access to the resources and assistance they need to thrive. From educational outreach initiatives to policy reform efforts, we are committed to standing alongside survivors every step of the way.
Survivor Support
Groups
Survivor support groups create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can connect with others who have experienced similar challenges. These groups provide emotional support, validation, and encouragement as survivors navigate their healing journey together.
Educational Outreach Programs
Empowerment Beyond Scars conducts educational outreach programs to raise awareness about gender-based violence and its impact on survivors. Through workshops, seminars, and community events, we strive to educate the public, break down stigma, and promote understanding and empathy.
Advocacy Events and Policy Reform Initiatives
We advocate for policy reform and systemic change to address the root causes of gender-based violence and improve support services for survivors. Through advocacy events, campaigns, and collaboration with lawmakers and policymakers, we work to create a more just and equitable society.
Wellness Retreats and Respite Program
Our wellness retreats and respite program offer survivors an opportunity to rest, recharge, and focus on self-care in a supportive and empowering environment. These retreats provide a range of holistic wellness activities, including yoga, meditation, art therapy, and mindfulness practices, to promote healing and well-being.
